My Top 5 MUST HAVE beauty products for great skin this winter...

December this year is a COLD one! So... here are some skincare products and make up that i'm using to keep my skin looking fresh and healthy through the winter!

Firstly, in my opinion the most important thing to own over winter is a really good moisturiser. My top pick that was recommended to me by my dermatologist at the amazing beauty salon Paul Edmonds. Its called the Hydrating B5 gel by Skin Ceuticals. It is very pricey at £60, but since using it - my skin has never been the same. I never knew what good skin really felt like until using this moisturiser! It's packed with hylauronic acid which is what hydrates your skin. Its for ALL skin types and specifically focuses on sensitive, acne prone, dehydrated and aging skin (which is a holy grail for me) I have all of these things and although im only 20, the earlier you start using anti-aging products the better! I'd definitely recommend a gel moisturiser over a cream as it is light on the skin, they don't clog your pores and they sink into the skin much more easily whereas a cream can sit and make you break out more easily.

My second must have is a really good setting spray. I found this one when i was last in new york and i've been using it everyday since. It's the Too Faced 3 in 1 Hangover Setting Spray for £27, and first things first.. it smells incredible! It literally smells like fresh coconuts. You can use the setting spray as a primer, setter or simply just to refresh your face! It brightens and moisturises your skin (which is a must in these cold months) but also makes your make up look flawless, i can pack on powders and as soon as i apply this spray after my make up, it looks like skin again! I am in LOVE with this product and in my eyes its a must in your make up bag.

My third item is a beautiful dewy foundation. Foundations are completely personal preference, but my go to of the moment is the Charlotte Tilbury light wonder foundation for £32 - it hydrates your skin and leaves you with a perfect healthy glow all day. its a beautiful light coverage foundation that makes your skin look like skin! however, the best thing about this product is that you can easily mix it in with a high coverage foundation and still get that glowy, healthy finish yet with a lot more coverage. Or, for day time - i like to mix it in with the Wonderglow Primer which is also from Charlotte Tilbury and this acts almost like a skin tint/glowy moisturiser that leaves your skin ultra hydrated, beautifully dewy and bright all day.

My fourth pointer is a GREAT mask. The one im obsessed with right now is the UV light acne treatment mask. I've recently started this treatment at my beauty salon and it's done my skin absolute wonders. My skin is smoother with no bumps, I have less blemishes and so far, no break outs! It definitely gives you that "glow from within" and also helps to fight off fine lines and impurites (so overall if you want great skin..this is for you) and it only takes 10-20 minutes for those of you who have busy schedules! It is quite pricey to keep doing, so i found a much cheaper option that you can do at home! But that will be explained in my next post where i'll explain exactly what this treatment does in more depth!

And finally my Fifth beauty must have for december is a great liquid contour. People are so afraid of liquid contours! Many think its too much, too hard to blend or just too much effort. But i can promise you, it's so easy! i learnt how to contour through youtube, and actually you can make it look a lot more natural and less cakey than powder bronzers. I try new makeup constantly and my newest favourite contour is the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand for £29. i do one cheek at a time, draw a line from the top of my ear down the line just above my cheek bone and stop when im in line with the middle of my eye, then simply blend in and you're bronzed, healthy looking and ready to go! No powder needed, blends so easily and it gives you a beautiful, bronzed cheek bone that looks SO natural. This is a must for winter because you never want to look pale and washed out, and the creamy consitency of this product makes sure youre still glowy and not cakey, with less powder!
